Welcome Summer

Today was my official day to welcome summer....no more preschool until September! I had to say all my good-byes to my good buds and my teachers. I sure am going to miss going to school and playing with my friends. To make it a little easier to say good-bye, Mrs. Susan and Mrs. Virginia gave me a cool sand bucket filled with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, a shovel, and some play dough. I should have plenty to keep me busy during the summer. I've already started using everything....there is not a spot in the backyard that hasn't been marked on with gold sidewalk chalk!

Water Balloons

The other night daddy decided that it would be fun to play with water balloons in the backyard. The water felt great because it was so hot outside. I still don't have the hang of what water balloons are for. Daddy would fill one up, I'd take it over to the other side of the yard, drop it, and then run back for more. It was the best!

Learning to Kick, Throw, & Ride

After dinner tonight mommy, daddy, & I went up to the park. I walked the whole way (1 1/2 blocks). Once there I played for awhile then daddy decided it was time to teach me how to play ball. I threw the ball, kicked the ball, and tried to catch the ball. Mostly I just ran after the ball. After all that running, daddy let me drink out of the water fountain. On the way home, I helped daddy push my bike but then finally decided to take a ride...my legs were getting tired.

Daddy's Catch

This morning I was just about to sit down and eat a biscuit when daddy called and told mommy to bring everyone outside. He was coming up to the deck with a big fish! Here are some pictures. (Pardon my bed head.)

Field Day

I got my first taste at being in Kindergarten today. We went up to see my cousin Caleb during his field day. It looked like so much fun. I could totally be in Kindergarten right now...who needs be be 5 to be in Kindergarten? They played relay races, did games, and generally just ran around...that's what I do everyday. I could totally hang with the big kids.

I've Got an Idea

Yesterday on the way to Preschool Pals, Jackson kept saying, "Hmm, I've got an idea" and "think, think, think" (both which come from My Friends Tigger & Pooh). His teachers said that he was saying it all through Preschool too. Today we finally caught it on tape.

Storytime with Daddy

Cabela's by way of Joe T. Garcias?

Today was a super fun day. Daddy decided that we'd finally make the trek down to Ft. Worth to eat at Joe T. Garcia's. Apparently mommy has been asking to go there for awhile. So lunch at Joe T. Garcia's and then daddy said we were going to go see some animals. I thought maybe we were going to the zoo but we wound up at Cabela's instead. What fun! I got to do a lot more at Cabela's than I would have at the zoo. Look at the pictures...they tell it all!

Heavy

Daddy let me wear his badge today when he was home for lunch. It is so heavy it kept pulling my shorts down.

Big Helper

Jackson is becoming quite the helper. Everything that mommy and daddy do, Jackson has to do it too! Today daddy was watering the garden and Jackson wanted to help. Here are a few pictures of Jackson watering the fence. We are working on pointing the water toward the plants.

My Big Boy Furniture

Yesterday Nana, Papa, & I met mommy & daddy in Canton. Fortunately the tornado that blew threw was there before we arrived and didn't damage any of the shops we were there to look at. We actually didn't see anything except for a few garbage cans knocked over but apparently the news crews found all kinds of damage.

The whole purpose for the Canton trip was to get my big boy furniture. Mommy & Nana found a bed for me and a dresser! Daddy spent today sanding the furniture down so we can paint it to match my big boy room. How exciting!

This could be a slow process but we'll keep you updated on how my new room is coming along.
