Bubbles

One of my birthday presents was a bubble machine. It was such a pretty day today, that mommy, daddy, & I sat outside and made bubbles after dinner before daddy had to go to work.

Daddy was trying to show me how to make the bubbles start.

I loved watching the bubbles.

How do those bubbles come out of there?

Ha ha ha...I have the bubbles!

My Birthday Party

Today was a busy day. I woke up from a shortened nap to find my house was set up for a party...my 1st Birthday Party. All kinds of fun people came over (including my Nana & Papa and cousin Caleb). We had a great time.

Mommy made this cake just for my birthday.

I'm not sure why I had to wear this pointy hat but I played along long enough for mommy to snap a picture.

This was my first taste of anything sweet.

It looks like I ate all my cake but I really just smeared it around. One taste and I was done. It was more fun to just play with it.

So many fun new things to play with!

Not only did I have a party, I went to my first baseball game too! I got to see the Rough Riders play!

Facing Forward

This is my happy face because I am finally able to see out the front of the car. I am facing forward and there is nothing stopping me now. I'm already trying to tell daddy how to drive.

At the Park

We went to the park to welcome Tallon back to Texas. All of us Titus 2 Tots (that's mommy & daddy's Sunday School class) were there. I was a busy little boy so I made it really difficult for mommy to take many pictures.

Perked Up

Some rest, some Motrin, and some lovin' got me back to my normal self. I'm back and raring to go. I even got to open a present from Uncle Marc & Aunt Kathy...they sent me some fun books. We've already read them a few times and I love them. Thanks Uncle Marc & Aunt Kathy!

My Not-So-Happy Birthday

Today is the big day, I'm officially 1 year old. Instead of fun & games, I got my first ear infection. I was going to go to the doctor for my check-up but wound up having a lot more done, including 2 shots. My day of fun has turned into a day of feeling poopy & sleeping. Dr. Berkowitz said I should feel better tomorrow so I guess we'll celebrate a day or two late.

Swimming Lessons

I started swimming lessons today! I had a great time learning how to blow bubbles (don't quite have that one down), kick my feet (still working on that one), and reach with my arms (I have that one down). I kept showing the class how good I was at splashing with my hands. They said next time we're going to actually go under water. That should be fun.

Sleepy Boy

After a tough day, this is how we found Jackson in his crib last night. As uncomfortable as it looks, even after we snapped the picture (bright flash in a dark room), Jackson didn't make a move. He was wiped out from a busy day of playing.

Swinging

After dinner tonight, mommy & daddy & I took a stroll to the park. We have a great park just down the block from our house. I love to swing. Daddy pushes me high in the air and it feels like I'm flying.

Photo Session with Daddy

So mommy left daddy & me home alone yesterday afternoon while she went to set-up for FunZone. When mommy is gone, daddy and I tend to get a little silly. We decided to have a photo shoot, the trick was that daddy took the pictures and was IN them at the same time. My daddy is super talented. We had some pretty good poses until I decided to grab the camera. The last picture is more of my hand than our faces.

My Friday Night

Daddy had just gone off to work, I was snuggled up in mommy's lap having my last bottle, I had drifted off into dream land when....mommy jumped up, started throwing blankets & pillows into the closet, and then plopped me down in the middle of them. What in the world? Later I found out we were doing exactly what mommy & daddy planned should the tornado siren ever go off (which it did). We were safe in the closet. Funny that when mommy grabbed me, she also grabbed her phone and the camera (you've got to take pictures of the first tornado shelter right?).

From the closet we could see the tv in mommy's room so we kept up with the storm until the electricity went out.

I was enjoying camping in the closet but I was also ready to get into my own bed.

Mohawk

Mommy gave me a new hair-do in the bathtub tonight. I think my quirky attitude can pull off a Mohawk. What do you think?

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! I had an Easter outfit all ready to go but it's way too cold to wear my shorts. I had to opt for the pants but I'll wear the shorts another day. Before we went to church this morning, mommy & daddy let me play with my Easter Basket. It is one that Nana & Papa gave me last year two days before I was born.

Wow! I have another ball to play with.

Nana Jo & Grampa sent me my very own flashlight. I can turn it off and on all by myself.

Of course, I have to try to eat everything so the eggs went right to my mouth for a taste.

Daddy's Hat

I was sitting with daddy this afternoon and was fascinated by his hat.

Since I kept trying to take it off daddy's head, he just put it on me.

I'm not sure if I like having something on my head.

Nope, I'm done with this. It's more fun to play with it on daddy's head than to wear it myself.
