Thank You Nana Jo & Grampa

Thank you for letting me stay with you, flying with me back home, helping mommy & daddy do all kinds of things to the house, going to the Farmer's Market with me, teaching me how to say "skat", playing Boz for me over and over, but most of all...thank you for loving me and taking such good care of me. I love you and can't wait to see you again.

Smokey Bear

Nana Jo & Grampa live where Smokey Bear was found. While I was there, we went to see his museum. I couldn't leave Capitan without getting a Smokey Bear outfit. In the words of Smokey, "Only YOU can prevent forest fires."

Helping Mommy & Nana Jo

Mommy & Nana Jo were working hard on making pillows and curtains. I couldn't let them do all that work without my help. I had to help them straighten out the cording and tape measure. I know they appreciated my assistance.

Vacation!

I am home! While I was super glad to see my mommy & daddy at the airport on Monday, I had a great time in New Mexico with Nana Jo & Grampa. We did all kinds of fun things. I got to go meet all kinds of really nice people (some of them even knew mommy when she was younger). I even got to go see the goats at a real goat show. I'm not sure why the goats didn't answer back to me when I said "Ruff Ruff".

The pictures in the slide show below show a lot of my trip. Nana Jo & Grampa live in the mountains where it is cool so I got to spend a lot of time outside. They have a great deck that I could crawl around on.

So I'm home. I'm saying a lot more words and still working on walking. I've just decided it's a lot easier to just cruise around on my knees and leave the walking to everyone else. (Actually, mommy & daddy have figured me out...I'm just stubborn and will do it my way when I wanna do it.)

Dinner at Spankeys

Before mommy left, she and I met up with Uncle Marc & Aunt Kathy for dinner. We also got to see daddy's old roommate Alan & his family. We ate at one of the best burger places in Lubbock...Spankeys. It is right across from Texas Tech so I started checking out the school to see if I'd like to go there one day. After we ate, mommy drove me through campus and pointed out all the buildings. It looks like I could have a lot of fun there one day.

Cousin Emily

This is my cousin Emily. She's pretty cute. I'm learning how to play sweet with her. It's just so tempting to grab her little toes.

It's My Turn for Vacation

Finally, my time has come. I get to go on VACATION. That's right, I'm spending a whole 13 days with Nana Jo & Grampa. Mommy will be there for the first 4 days then it's just me & my grandparents. I tried to help mommy pack but it was more fun to play with daddy.

Just Eating

These are just a couple of new pictures I thought I'd post. Mommy thought she'd be really smart and put my spaghetti in a bowl that is supposed to be "throw proof". I proved her wrong. I was able to pick the bowl right up. There is no amount of suction that can keep me from doing what I want. I was sweet enough not to throw the bowl...I just threw the spaghetti that was in the bowl.

I'm Back

So I've been out of the blogging world for a couple of weeks. Mommy went to camp so daddy & I went to the lake to play. We fished a whole lot but didn't get any pictures.

While there, Nana discovered the best toy of all...my very own cell phone. It's just like a real cell phone. In fact, mommy tried to answer it at Nana's house when the phone rang. It's great....and cheap.....so we bought out the store (they're at Kroger for all of my friends whose mommies need to get them a phone). If this one gets lost, mommy has a stash of them so I won't miss a beat. After all, I love talking on the phone. Maybe one day I'll actually be able to say PHONE instead of MOAN (that's what I call it right now).
