Me & My Speedo

We went to Nana & Papa's for Memorial Day. It rained most of the time we were there but I did get to hop on the boat once. I fought mommy when she tried to put me in the regular life jackets. She finally decided to give in and put me in the Speedo suit with the floaties in it. I was MUCH happier.

Papa Look Alike

My Papa is a funny guy. When he has work to do around the house, he always puts on his sweatband. I found his clean sweatband and decided to put it on to be just like him. What do you think?

Day at the Lake

Mommy & Daddy's Sunday School class had a party at the lake. Ms. Brigitte's mom & dad have a great house on the lake that they let us all hang out at. We were there all day. I missed half of the day because I was taking a nap in the closet. Mommy said that she slept in a closet when she was little so it was something I needed to experience once in life. She did say that the closet I was in was A LOT bigger than the closet she slept in. Anyway, I had a great time swimming in a baby pool, crawling all over the grass, and just playing with all of my friends. I can't wait till I'm big enough to play with some of the big boy toys.

Daddy played Woofle Ball with all the other guys. We sat on the steps and cheered.

I brought some of my favorite toys with me. I did really good sharing them with my buddies.

Ms. Jenn has always wanted to hold me. She was able to get a quick hug before I darted out of her lap.

Emily likes to love on us babies just like her mommy (Ms. Jenn). Emily kept loving on Aidan but Aidan wasn't too sure he liked it.

Little Baby Band

Today mommy & I went to Ms. Dianna's to play. She has two little kids, Grace & Brady. We had a great time playing in their playroom. They have a lot of musical instruments. We decided to form our very own band. Grace dressed Brady up, Brady took over the guitar, and I handled the drum. We were GOOD. Keep your eyes open, you'll probably see us on the cover of a CD one day.

I spy, with my little eye, something GREEN....Do you spy it?

Tah Dah...it's my hand. I got hold of Kate's markers today at the church and thought it would be fun to color my hand green. Now I can play "I spy" and always have something GREEN to spy!

Tonight was a great pre-summer night. Daddy grilled ribs outside, we had a good dinner, and then we walked to the park to play before time for bed. What could be better?

One of my birthday presents was a bubble machine. It was such a pretty day today, that mommy, daddy, & I sat outside and made bubbles after dinner before daddy had to go to work.

Daddy was trying to show me how to make the bubbles start.

I loved watching the bubbles.

How do those bubbles come out of there?

My Birthday Party

Today was a busy day. I woke up from a shortened nap to find my house was set up for a party...my 1st Birthday Party. All kinds of fun people came over (including my Nana & Papa and cousin Caleb). We had a great time.

This was my first taste of anything sweet.

It looks like I ate all my cake but I really just smeared it around. One taste and I was done. It was more fun to just play with it.

Not only did I have a party, I went to my first baseball game too! I got to see the Rough Riders play!

Facing Forward

This is my happy face because I am finally able to see out the front of the car. I am facing forward and there is nothing stopping me now. I'm already trying to tell daddy how to drive.

At the Park

We went to the park to welcome Tallon back to Texas. All of us Titus 2 Tots (that's mommy & daddy's Sunday School class) were there. I was a busy little boy so I made it really difficult for mommy to take many pictures.

Perked Up

Some rest, some Motrin, and some lovin' got me back to my normal self. I'm back and raring to go. I even got to open a present from Uncle Marc & Aunt Kathy...they sent me some fun books. We've already read them a few times and I love them. Thanks Uncle Marc & Aunt Kathy!

My Not-So-Happy Birthday

Today is the big day, I'm officially 1 year old. Instead of fun & games, I got my first ear infection. I was going to go to the doctor for my check-up but wound up having a lot more done, including 2 shots. My day of fun has turned into a day of feeling poopy & sleeping. Dr. Berkowitz said I should feel better tomorrow so I guess we'll celebrate a day or two late.

Swimming Lessons

I started swimming lessons today! I had a great time learning how to blow bubbles (don't quite have that one down), kick my feet (still working on that one), and reach with my arms (I have that one down). I kept showing the class how good I was at splashing with my hands. They said next time we're going to actually go under water. That should be fun.
