Basketball Pictures

Deceptively Delicious

Mommy has gotten the book...here come the hidden veggies. Today when I woke up from my nap, mommy was pulling homemade chocolate chip cookies out of the oven. Mommy let daddy and me have one and we both thought they were fabulous. After we said how good they were, mommy told us they had chickpeas in them. I don't know what chickpeas are but I really don't care...all I know is I got to eat a chocolate chip cookie and it was good! I think I like this book.

White Christmas

After we got to New Mexico on Chrstmas day it started to snow. Mommy and Daddy took me outside when it started to snow, but when I woke up the next morning there was snow everywhere.
Mommy made me put on all my warm clothes (hat, gloves, jacket and layers of clothes). I went outside and didn't really know what to think. Daddy came outside and showed me how to make snowballs and throw snow at mommy. After playing in the snow for a little bit I looked up at mommy and said "I wet."
Daddy put me to work shoveling the snow off of the deck.
We had lots of fun playing in the snow. Mommy thought I was getting too cold and made me go back inside to warm up. I am a typical boy and didn't care how cold it was, I just wanted to keep playing.

More Christmas Fun

I woke up on Christmas Day and got to go on an airplane to New Mexico to see my Grampa and Nana Jo. We also got to see aunt Stephanie, uncle Ken, cousin Emily, Jim, Ruby and Mamaw. After Christmas dinner we got to open more presents. I had a lot of fun helping Grampa and Nana Jo hand out all the presents. I wanted to open every one that I passed out.
I got to open a lot of presents. Some of them were not for me, I just liked helping everyone open their presents. Nana Jo and Grampa got me my very own basketball goal. I am going to have so much fun playing basketball with daddy.

My Own Police Car

Tonight I got my very own police car. It even has sirens! I love it!

Merry Christmas

I had much more fun with Christmas this year than last year. I really got into opening the presents. In fact, I started opening one a few weeks ago but mommy caught me. Tonight I got to finish opening it.

Christmas Eve at Gaylord Texan

Today mommy, daddy, nana, papa, and I went to the Gaylord Texan to look at all the pretty Christmas decorations. We met Uncle Chris, Aunt Melissa, Caleb, & Madison there. It was a lot of fun. They had trains everywhere & even a real reindeer! Here are some pictures.

Puree Party

Mommy & I went to a Puree Party (to go along with Jessica Seinfeld's cookbook, Deceptively Delicious) this morning. I played upstairs with some friends while mommy and her friends pureed all kinds of things. I was thinking they were cooking up some good food but when I came downstairs it was nothing but vegetables. Here's a picture of me with all mommy's hard work. Apparently she's going to freeze them and then use them in everyday food so that we get more nutrients. We have red bell pepper, spinach, zucchini, squash, cauliflower, peas, and carrots. I put this out as a warning to all who come to eat at my house...you never know what you're REALLY eating.

Cooking Lessons

Mommy had to make a cake this morning so she had me help her. I helped turn the mixer off and on when she was ready. It was a lot of fun. I even added my own touch to the cake. When mommy was spraying the pan with oil, I decided to add a couple shakes of pepper to the batter. After all, aren't all cooks supposed to add their own twist to the recipe? Mommy said we were lucky because the pepper was laying on top of the batter and she could easily scoop it out. Next time, I'll have to add my secret ingredients when the mixer is running.

Good Saint Nick...

Tonight while Mommy was gone Daddy and I spent a little time singing and dancing to Christmas Carols. I did more dancing than I did singing. Here is a highlight of my best move.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

While I was napping this afternoon, mommy & daddy got all our Christmas decorations down. After dinner, and a quick trip to Hobby Lobby, we decorated the tree. I had fun helping this year. We'll see how long I can just walk by the tree without actually taking the fun balls off. Mommy thinks she put all the breakable ones up higher than I can reach but we'll just see. I have a magic power that allows me to grow an inch when I am determined to reach something. I'll keep you posted.

Being Silly

I had a great time playing with my cousins. I followed them around and did everything they did. It was great!

I love the camera and the camera LOVES me.

Below are some of the pictures we took during our family photo session. I must tell you that I am not shy around the camera. I've learned how to pose and I think I do a pretty good job of it. When the ladies taking our pictures finished taking the family pictures, they decided to take some individual ones of my cousins and me. When it was my turn, I walked right up to the backdrop, sat down and began posing. I would turn occasionally so I could highlight all my good sides. It was pretty fun. I think I was the hit of the studio.

Family Pictures

This past week we went to Nana & Papa's house for Thanksgiving. Nana wanted us to all take a picture since we were all there together. Luckily the place we went to had a fun Lego table that kept me busy while all the pictures were going on. The best part of it was playing with my cousins Caleb & Madison.

Don't blame me...I had NO control over it....

Last Friday night, daddy was working and mommy had Nutcracker rehearsal (yep, she's in the Nutcracker...another story for another blog entry) so I went to stay with mommy's friend Mrs. Karen. Mrs. Karen has 4 boys so having me over there was no big deal. After we ate dinner, Mrs. Karen and Mr. Robert loaded me up with their other kids and we went to see a UNT hockey game! Things were going ok until Mrs. Karen decided that I wasn't dressed warm enough for the hockey game and she needed to put me in one of her son's sweatshirts. Unfortunately the sweatshirt was burt orange and said "Texas" across the front. I didn't have the words in me to tell her to take it off so I had to deal with it until mommy arrived to rescue me. Despite the sweatshirt, I did LOVE the hockey game...who knows, maybe I'll grow up to be a hockey player.

A Night at the Drive-In

Mommy, daddy, & I all did something for the first time last night...we went to the drive-in. It was GREAT! We packed the back of the car with pillows and blankets and we watched "Bee Movie". I liked watching the bees but got a little overwhelmed with the story. It was good that I could play around in the car when I wasn't interested in the movie.
This is the drive-in we went to. We tried to get pictures of the screen while we were there but it was just too dark.

See all of our pillows and blankets. Mommy even brought me a pre-movie, movie...Boz. It kept me entertained until the real movie started.

A nice lady beside us offered to take a picture. She was excited that it was our first time to the drive-in.
Daddy snapped this random picture of me...and mommy with her funnel cake (mommy loves funnel cakes).

Not again...

Yesterday at preschool we had a Fall Party and I got my very own balloon. Daddy put the balloon up last night so that I'd have it to play with today. When mommy & I were outside taking pictures, she let me play with the balloon. It happened again...I let go of the balloon and mommy wasn't there to catch it. Bye bye balloon.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Last week we went to the Fall Festival at the church. I was all dressed up and had a great time but mommy didn't get any pictures there...maybe because she was too busy chasing me through the halls of the church. Hummm....

Since she had no pictures, she decided to dress me up today and get some pictures in the backyard. I loved my costume this year. I didn't even try to take off the hat.

Arboretum

Mommy has been really busy at work and daddy has had a weird schedule so when we woke up and found we had a day when we were all home together (even my schedule was clear) we decided to make the most of it and head to the Arboretum. It was great. There were so many pumpkins! I tried to sit on each one of them but just ran out of time.
