Christmas Pictures

Before Thanksgiving, mommy made me and daddy get dressed up and go get our picture made together. She was surprised how happy daddy and I both were through the whole thing. I didn't cry once and posed each time the man snapped his fingers. Below are some of the pictures.

It's been a busy few weeks. First we went to my Nana & Papa's house for Thanksgiving. I got to see my Uncle Marc & Aunt Kathy, Uncle Chris & Aunt Melissa, and cousins Caleb & Madison. Caleb & Madison are the best. They showed me how to play with my toys and kept me entertained while mommy & daddy did other things. While there, I even had my first trip to Santa's workshop. There were so many lights to see. I enjoyed all the lights except the ones that said "Whoop". I cried through that part of the drive. Daddy said that it was obvious we were in Aggie country. After the lights, things got even better because I got to see Santa. Mommy was worried I would be scared of Santa like she was but I wasn't. It was great because I really love pulling hair right now and he had tons of it on his face. I was in HEAVEN.

The second half of the past two weeks hasn't been as much fun. Mommy & I both got sick. We both had to go to the doctor and we're both doing all kinds of things to get better. I think we're doing good now. I never let it stop me though. I kept working on my words (I say Bah and occasionally Ma or Da)...working on my scooting (I can army crawl with the best of them)...and jumping like crazy in my bouncer.

Enough with the talk, on with the pictures....(there's not one with me & Santa, it's on the fridge at our house)

Just Sitting Around

Look at me. I'm sitting up without mommy holding me.
Here I am again, in my bed, sitting tall.

Here It Is....

Here's my new home!

This is the front. Mommy said that the nice man who sold us the house paid to have the sidewalk fixed. She hopes the city will come and fix it before I'm big enough to ride a tricycle. I'm ok with it the way it is. It looks like a fun ramp to go up and down.

That's me and daddy in the backyard. Look at all the great grass I'll have to play on. Too bad it's been so cold and windy. I haven't had a chance to explore anything out there yet.

Here's my daddy's favorite part...the shed & hot tub. Daddy thinks the shed is his little hide out. I think that when I get a little older, it is going to make a great fort for me & my friends!

I have a new room!

I know it's been a long time since I've updated my blog. It's not my fault, my mommy & daddy decided that we needed to move into a new house. All I know is I have my bed and my toys and a lot more new space to get into trouble. I kept hearing daddy say that next time we move, I'm going to have to help carry furniture. Hmmm, how do I keep mommy & daddy from moving again? I'm in no mood to carry furniture. Maybe they'll stay put until I get to college so I can say that I've got to study and can't help.

Move me all you want, I have my bottle and remote control, I'm good to go!

Trick or Treat

Mommy & a monkey

Surprise! I'm the monkey. Hee hee hee

You know most people say I look just like daddy. By looking at this picture, I'd have to say they're right!

I'm a Monkey

Tonight mommy & daddy got me all dressed up and we went to the church's Fall Festival.
Here I am...I'm the monkey in the middle. I think mommy and daddy are monkeys too, they just didn't dress up.

This is my bud Caden with his mommy. He was Tigger.

Here's my other bud, Braeden, with his mommy & daddy. Braeden loves frogs so he dressed up as one.

All of us boys got together and decided that our mommies were crazy for making us wear these goofy & hot costumes but we just went along with it. We know that if we keep mommy happy, our little baby lives will be much more comfortable. Besides, after we got the pictures taken, our dads helped us shed the costumes. Daddy always comes to the rescue (well, except for the time he went crazy with the rings, I already told you about that). I'm a little worried, though.....I heard mommy talking of another festival that we might be going to in a few nights. Does that mean I have to wear my monkey suit again?

Hello Puppy

At night before bed, mommy has been reading me a book that has animals for me to feel. One of my favorite animals in the book is the puppy. I love feeling the puppy. Today I had a new experience with a puppy. Nana's puppy Andy came to Pa & Gran's house. I thought, "Hey he looks like the puppy in my book" so you know what I did, I pet him like I do the puppy in the book. Funny thing is, the puppy in the book doesn't do anything when I pet him but Andy showed me his teeth. Good thing mommy was right there. She said we'd have to practice being gentle before we see Andy again.

My Speech to the Baby World

When I got home from visiting family today, I had lots to say. I was quiet all day but I just couldn't hold it in any longer. To all my baby friends out there, I know you'll understand what I'm saying. To you adults, let me just tell you that we babies communicate a lot more than you think we do.

Fun with Daddy

When mommy works, it's just me & daddy. Today mommy started her new job so daddy and I decided to have some fun and take some pictures to show mommy when she got home. When daddy said we'd take some pictures, I thought I'd just smile and look cute like always...little did I know daddy had something else up his sleeve. I was playing with my new toy when all of the sudden, one ring went on one arm, another ring went on my other arm, and a ring ended up on my head. Look at me.

Man, it's fun to spend the day with daddy. I wonder what we'll do tomorrow? Mommy hopes that we keep taking pictures but I think some things we'll have to keep just between me and daddy.

On the Move

I've seen other babies do it, I know I should be able to do it, but this crawling thing is a lot harder than it looks. I worked so hard on rolling over but now when I start to scoot forward, my body just rolls over on it's own. Mommy knows that I like the remote control (I'm a boy, all boys like the remote control) so she places it just beyond my reach to make me scoot for it. I get my legs up, my rear in the air, and that's about all I've got. Daddy says I've got to start working out my arms to build my stregnth but I just can't seem to figure out how to do everything at once. Check me out...maybe you can give me some pointers. Just Some Pics

Haven't been up to much lately. Mommy just took a picture of me sleeping because she thought I looked cute. I'm finally able to wear some new clothes now that it's getting colder.

If you want to know what I've been saying lately, check out my video. (click on the link below) Some people think that mommy & daddy are making the noises but it's really me. I'm good at gurggling now.

Facing the Giants

This is not a post about Jackson, just a post to let you know about a movie that you must see. We went to the movies last night (a date night without Jackson...only the 2nd time we've been to the movies since he was born). In trying to figure out what to see, I decided on Facing the Giants. It's a movie that was created and filmed by a church using nothing but volunteers...no big actors, no fancy directors or sound guys. Sony apparently got word of the movie and picked it up. I was a little worried about the quality of the movie and whether or not it would be able to keep a good story line going through the entire 2 hours. Needless to say, we were blown away. It was the best movie. If you have a chance to see it, you'll find that it's worth every dollar you'll pay for the overpriced tickets and popcorn. It's not just about football, it's about faith and portrays lessons that apply in all of our lives daily. One word of caution...take a box of Kleenex, you'll need them.

Here's the movie website to give you more information: http://www.facingthegiants.com/

It's a bird, It's a plane....

No....It's SUPERBABY!

I believe I can fly... not quite yet, I'm still trying to figure out how to crawl.

Happy Birthday Aunt Melissa

Today is my Aunt Melissa's birthday! Mommy helped me take a picture to wish her a Happy Birthday! Aunt Melissa is an Aggie so I feel bad that my Red Raiders had to beat her Aggies this past weekend. Daddy didn't feel too bad, he was cheering hard for the Raiders. I didn't know he could get so excited.

More pictures from Lubbock

Since Uncle Marc & Aunt Kathy don't have any little kids like me, they borrowed some fun toys from their friends. This jumping thing was the best toy ever. I just bounced and bounced while everyone laughed at me. Maybe I can get one of these things at my house? I might have to start talking to daddy about that.

My daddy thinks it is pretty funny when I get tired and put my hand on my head. Uncle Marc thinks that I should be on the front of a birthday card. Maybe he's onto something.

This is me with my Uncle Marc & Aunt Kathy. You're not seeing things, my Uncle Marc looks just like my daddy (they're twins). They tried to trick me by making me think that my daddy was there when really my mommy & daddy were gone. Little do they know, I know exactly who is who. Uncle Marc can't fool me (besides, if he tries to fool me, my Aunt Kathy will get him).

Here I am chillin' with my cool friends, Dr. Davey & his wife Sarah (that's right...Dr. Davey, he's a real doctor). They're going to have a little baby in March. I'm really hoping for a fun boy to play with but a girl might be fun too. They came over to meet me and we had a great time. I just love all that hair on Dr. Davey's face. Maybe daddy will let me have hair like that someday.

Happiness is Lubbock, TX

You might have thought I've been slacking in my blogging this past week when actually I've been on vacation! I had a lot of firsts...my first plane ride, my first wedding, my first time to meet lots of family, and my first time to KK's Craft Mall (I'd rather not go back there, it's a bunch of girly stuff). Here are a few pictures...

This is me & mommy on the moving sidewalk in the airport. I love riding like this because it makes me feel like I'm walking all by myself. You might say that I was the hit of the airport. All the security people were going bananas over me.

Here's the reason I got to go to Lubbock...my aunt Stephanie got married. That's her with my new uncle Ken. They're pretty cool cats. They played all kinds of fun music at their wedding and aunt Steph didn't even wear shoes. I wish I could have gotten away with that, my mommy made me wear shoes. Other than the shoes, I had a great time at their wedding. I wish we lived closer to them because I'm sure they could teach me all kinds of fun things.

Since I'm not the most quiet guy, daddy had me hang out with him during the wedding. He was in charge of the music. I tried to distract him but he was really focused on the songs. We sure did have fun there in the back.

After all that wedding stuff, I was pooped! I couldn't even keep my eyes open on the way home. Being cute sure does take a lot out of you.

Not only did we go to a wedding, we got to visit lots of people too. This is me with mommy's grandmother. She really knows how to hold little guys like me...she didn't even pull away when I tried to eat the pretty birds on her sweater.

I'm a BIG 5 months old!

Today is a big day for me...I'm a whole 5 months old! I've come a long way in 5 months...I'm eating squash & peas now rather than just drinking milk, I can roll all around the floor and even get to the remote control and play with all the fun buttons, I can turn the fishies in my crib off and on by hitting them with my head, and I can even give my daddy wet willies with my slobbery hands. Man I'm BIG.

Here I am just hanging out. Mommy and I went shopping this morning and then to lunch with Mrs. Dianna & Grace. I was sure glad to be home to stretch out and just roll around.

I'm working on getting my guns up. Right now my gun is kinda pointing sideways. I'll have it mastered soon.

I thought this was a fun toy mommy bought me today...later I found out, it is something I wear. Mommy made me try it on. I wasn't too sure what to think about it. She kept saying how cute I was and how much fun we're going to have at Halloween. I'm not sure being dressed like a monkey will be fun but maybe people will think I'm real cute and give me lots of candy.

I'm still not sure about this me being a monkey thing.

Babbling Baby

Daddy caught me getting ready for bed this evening. I'm like my mommy and just like to talk all the time. Mommy was trying to put my lotion on before she put me in my jammies and I just talked & talked before I found my foot and decided to stick it in my mouth. Life is good being a baby.

My Friends

Today I went to my first play group! There were so many babies and little kids to look at. I didn't really do much playing (except with my own foot which can keep me entertained for hours) but it sure was fun to be considered big compared to some of them. My mommy said that it was fun to have a real conversation with other people. I don't know who she thinks I am, I talk to her all the time. She talks back to me but doesn't ever seem to stay on the same subject I'm on.

This is my friend Emily. She and I are the two most vocal babies in our class. People think we're crying but we're really just telling everyone what they need to know. Emily is just a week older than I am and she can already sit up. I'm going to have to hang out with her more to figure out how she does that. Maybe she'll help me out.

This is baby Aiden. He's only 2 months old. I went and saw him when he was brand new but he didn't do much then but now he looks around and smiles at people. His mommy sat him in a pink chair while we were there. I tried to stand up for him and tell his mommy that pink is for girls but she didn't listen to me.

Here's a picture of me with baby Braeden. He's 2 1/2 months old but just about as big as me. We had fun trying to pinch each other without our mommy's seeing it. It didn't hurt , it was just a game.

Open Mouth, Insert Foot

While mommy was trying to put my jammies on, I found something really neat...and it's attached to me...my foot! I've seen it down there before, I just never got a good look at it. Once I got it close to my face, I decided it looked good enough to eat. Who needs a thumb when you can have a WHOLE foot?

Dedication

Today my mommy & daddy got me up early, gave me a bath in the morning, and got me all dressed up in a new outfit....why? because I was being dedicated. I'm really not sure what that means. All I know is that I was put on display at the front of the church while the pastor said a bunch of stuff to mommy & daddy. There were other babies up there too. Some were crying but I just sat there in mommy's arms looking at all the people looking at me. It must have been something special because my Nana & Papa and Great-Grandmother and Great-Granddaddy all came up from Houston just to come to church to see me. Maybe one day I'll learn what mommy & daddy promised to teach me, until then, I'll just continue to be the cute baby that I am.

This is me, mommy, & daddy. Look at my outfit, am I not the most stylin' baby ever? I think it's funny that I'm the only one with new clothes.

The Four Walls

(actually that's my Great-Granddaddy, Papa, daddy, & me)

My Great-Grandmother & Great-Granddaddy are sooooo silly. They laugh all the time. I've been told that Great-Granddaddy looks like Santa. I'm not sure who Santa is but I guess I've got to believe them.

Nana & Papa are just as silly. They sure do seem to love me...I kept hearing them tell mommy & daddy that I could come visit them anytime I wanted. I might have to take them up on that since mommy & daddy are about to start making me eat veggies.

This is my daddy & the nice hotel man loading up Papa's car. I thought mommy packed a lot but their car is packed all the way to the top and they were just here for one night. Maybe when I'm older I'll figure out what Great-Grandmother packs in all those black purses.

Cute but Crabby

Daddy had a hard time snapping this picture. Jackson is starting to be quite the squirmy little boy. You can't really see the shirt but it says "Cute but Crabby". Thanks to Nana Jo & Grampa for picking this shirt up for Jackson when they went vacationing in Hilton Head this summer.

Finally on Video

I finally caught Jackson rolling over and talking on video. We were laying down trying to wind down before bed and he decided to put on a show. Luckily the camera was close by so I caught a little of it for you.
